   The     Hours of Marguerite d'Orléans    is a remarkable example of Gothic book illumination, created around 1430. This manuscript is known for its exquisite miniatures and elaborate border decorations, which captivate viewers with their intricate details and vibrant colors   .  
  The manuscript was likely commissioned as a wedding gift for Marguerite d'Orléans when she married Richard of Brittany, Count of Étampes, in 1423. The main section of the book was illuminated by the "Master of Marguerite d'Orléans," who was trained in the circle of the Boucicaut Master in Paris and was familiar with the work of the Limbourg brothers.   The miniatures and borders are adorned with gold and silver, creating a harmonious and visually stunning effect.  
  Marguerite d'Orléans was a member of the French nobility, the granddaughter of King Charles V of France, and the grandniece of Duke Jean de Berry. Her family's love for books and illuminated manuscripts is evident in the creation of this masterpiece.  
  The manuscript is currently housed in the Bibliothèque nationale de France, where it continues to be admired for its artistic and historical significance   .
